Hi there, Quilty Friend! 🗼The 2024 Summer Olympics will start later this month - Are you the type who is glued to every event, every hour? Do you just catch the highlights and special human interest stories? Or are you totally not into any kind of sports at all?? I would say I fall into the second group... while I'm really not into sports, I SO ADMIRE the dedication and determination that these athletes put into their sport... it truly amazes & inspires me❣️(And at such a young age... when I was a child/teenager I was mostly worried about my hair! LOL.) We have opened up a little "Paris Shop" on our website, in honor of the athletes and host city for the Summer Games..... ...But first I wanted to show you our July Collection for The Art of Home Club - perfect for summer! The "Snail's Pace" Collection features a cute quilt and pillow pattern, as well as a snail pin cushion that our members can make! 🐌 🐌 Although I don't like snails eating my plants in the garden, these are awful cute and I had a lot of fun making them! (And speaking of Paris, I don't think I've ever eaten escargot either... have you???) VISIT OUR NEW PARIS SHOP! With the 2024 Summer Olympics being held in Paris, we thought it would be fun to celebrate "The City of Lights" with our new embroidery kit, embroidery supplies, and other fun Paris-themed items! Get your embroidery kit and all the supplies you need so that you can enjoy some handwork while watching the Summer Games, or as you are dreaming about walking the streets and gardens of this iconic city! (MORE FUN QUILTY STUFF BELOW THIS ADVERTISEMENT!) Taste of Paris - Crepes! Experience the taste of Paris with this recipe for crepes - they are perfect for any season! I used blackberries out of the backyard, but blueberries, peaches and strawberries would also be good. You can make this anytime with whatever fruit you have on hand, like apples or pears in the autumn. If you are in a hurry, you could also heat up applesauce or canned pie filling to pour over the top. Get The Recipe Here. A Little Sewing Inspiration Members of Union Grove Baptist Church have officially made their 1,000th prayer quilt.
