Alfie's summer vacation, free Summer Rose embroidery pattern, yummy summer recipe!

Hi there, Quilty Friend!

We just got back from a very fun vacation in Maine! We met our youngest daughter up there and spent five wonderful days on Mt. Desert Island, exploring Acadia National Park and the very cute town of Bar Harbor. There was hiking, biking, shopping, and enjoying some wonderful meals together (especially lobster!) And Alfie went too! He does quite well on long car rides, so we like taking him with us.

Have you been to Mt. Desert Island? What did you enjoy?

🎄Last week, we also had our Christmas in July sale- many thanks to all of you who shopped with us and supported our small family business!! This week, we will be busy getting those orders shipped out to you!🎄

🍂We've got some gorgeous brand new AUTUMN themed goodies coming up in our shop, so stay tuned! 🍂

A Great Summer Recipe

Cheesy Bruschetta Pork Chops

It's tomato season! Sunday I picked up a basket of tomatoes at the farm stand on the way home from church, and I have a thriving basil plant on the back step, so it seemed that making a giant bowl of bruschetta was a good idea! I pulled out my Cheesy Bruschetta Pork Chop recipe- I didn't have pork chops, but I found boneless country ribs on sale at the store so I used those.

It was a delicious summer meal! Hubby raved about it!

A LITTLE SEWING INSPIRATION

The Couple That Sews Together, Stays Together

At first, Steve Colson watched his wife Pat sew from the sidelines. A dedicated member of her quilting group with Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Forest, Illinois, Pat often brought sewing “work” home. Before long, Steve's interest was piqued, and he asked Pat to teach him. Read the Story HERE
